Michelin Pilot Alpin is approved for the BMW M3 (2007 model), Mercedes CLS and SLR, Maybach, Porsche Boxster and 911 and in its 'Zero Pressure' version, for the BMW 3 Series.

Excellent wet grip. Helio compound technology dissipates the energy in the tread even at low temperatures. Innovative Helio compound contains natural sunflower oil.

Bi-directional self-locking sipes allow more sipe density to bite into snow & ice without any compromise in dry handling. Variable geometry sipes (undulated on the surface, straight at the base), offer more stability at motorway speeds.

Combined with an assymmetric tread pattern, this provides more precise handling on both snowy and dry roads.
The tread design is adapted to both road conditions:

• INTERIOR: for wet and snowy roads: more and wider sipes (0.6mm), more biting edges.
• EXTERIOR: for dry handling: stiffer tread blocks, and narrower sipes (0.4mm)
